Osmania University PGECET Entrance Exam 2014

Applications are invited from eligible candidates to apply to the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) 2014 to be held from 26 - 29 May, 2014
PGECET is a common entrance test conducted for admission into post graduate courses in Engineering M.E.,M.Tech, Architecture (M.Arch), Pharmacy (M.Pharm) and graduate level Pharm-D. The examination for the year 2014-2015 will be conducted by University College of Engineering, Osmania University for Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Osmania University is one of the oldest universities in India and well known for its academic excellence. It has been ranked as one of the top universities in India according to India Today.

Please note that preference will be given first to GATE qualified candidates for admission to these PG courses. The rest of the vacant seats would be filled according to the ranks obtained in PGECET 2014.
PGECET is for admission to different subject streams - M.E. or M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering, Architecture (M.Arch) and planning, bio-medical Engineering, Bio-technology, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Environment management, Food Technology, Geo Engineering & Geo Informatics, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Nano-Technology and Pharmacy (M.Pharm).
Candidates should have an aggregate of 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/PH) in the qualifying examination i.e. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Pharmacy, as the case may be.
Candidates should be Indian Nationals. They should either be domiciled or belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh. The criteria for same are laid down in the regulations of admission.
The examination will consist of 120 questions, each carrying one mark. Test will be for two hours. The test paper will follow multiple choice questions pattern. Visit the PGECET 2014 exam pattern for details.

The examination will be held in two sessions i.e. morning and afternoon session.
The test will be held only in state of Andhra Pradesh with regional centres in Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Tirupathi, Warangal, Guntur, Anantapur. Get further details on the PGECET 2014 exam centres.
Candidates can apply only through online mode. The application fee for the test is Rs. 500 for candidates belonging to general category and Rs. 250 in case of those belonging to reserved category.
