SAAT - 2015, Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University Admission Test - 2015

Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University Admission Test (SAAT-2015), a national level entrance test is conducted by Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Universityevery year to select bright students from different parts of our country. The test is being conducted for different programs offered in different constituent institutes / schools of the university. SAAT-2015, the seventh edition of this entrance test, will be held on 09th May 2015 (Saturday) at 65 centers across 46 cities of India. The test is primarily a multiple choice type written test and the standard of the test is comparable with any other national level entrance test. Short listed candidates will be called to attend an open counselling for admission into various programmes of the university. Another feature of this entrance test is that the candidates with diploma in engineering/ technology/ pharmacy and hotel management are eligible for admission into regular courses under lateral entry scheme through SAAT-2015.

Under Lateral Entry (LE) scheme 20% of intake capacity of previous year in appropriate discipline and carry forward vacant seats of 1st year of Engineering / Pharmacy / Hotel Management / Nursing / MCA will be filled up at the 2nd year level. a) BTech / Dual Degree in Engineering / Dual Degree in Management: Pass or appearing (in the year 2015) at 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry / Computer Science / Information Technology /Biotechnology / Biology / Informatics / Statistics or any other subject as approved by appropriate authority, by securing at least 50% marks taken together in the subjects mentioned.
OR
Pass in Diploma in Engineering / Technology with less than 60% marks in aggregate.
b) MBBS / BDS: Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (in the year 2015) or any equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) and English individually and must have secured a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination. In respect of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Schedules Tribes and Other backward Classes the marks secured in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination can be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. For PH candidates qualifying examination marks is 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together. As per MCI & DCI guidelines candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. For SC / ST / OBC candidates the limit is minimum of 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. For PH candidates the limit is minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. All candidates must pass in English.
Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 years and the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31.12.2015. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of  5 (five) years for the candidates of SC and ST.
c) 
BPharm: Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (in the year 2015) with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology / Information Technology or any other subject as approved by appropriate authority, by securing at least 45% marks taken together in the subjects mentioned (40% incase of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category) OR Pass in Diploma programme in Pharmacy with less than 60% marks.
d) BHMCT: Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2015) in any discipline with at least 45% marks (40% incase of SC / ST / OBC category)
e) BSc in Nursing (Basic): Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (in the year 2015) with at least 45% marks in aggregate (English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together) and 40% marks in aggregate for SC / ST / OBC candidates only. 
Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 years as on 31.12.2015.
f) BSc in Nursing (Post Basic): Passed GNM examination, and registered with concerned State Nursing Council. Candidate must be a member of TNAI.
g) Five years integrated BBA LLB Honours Programme: Pass or appearing (2015) the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with at least 45% marks. Relaxable to 40% in case of SC/ST. Candidate should not have completed 20 years of age as on 1st August 2015.
a) MTech: Pass or appearing in BE / BTech / AMIE / MCA / MSc in the respective discipline or equivalent. For MTech in Biotechnology, candidates having BTech / BE in Biotechnology or related fields / MSc in Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Science or equivalent / MBBS / BPharm / BVSc with Biology as a subject at +2 level are eligible. Candidates having MCA and MSc (Maths) degree are eligible for MTech in Comp Sc & Data Processing. Candidates with MSc (Electronics) are eligible for MTech in Electronics & Communication Engineering and MTech in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering. MSc in Computer Science and IT are eligible for MTech in Computer Science & Engineering and CS&IT respectively. A candidate with BTech (Environmental / Chemical / Civil / Mechanical / Metallurgy) or MSc (Environmental Science / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Geology / Life Science / Botany / Zoology) is eligible for MTech in Environmental Science & Technology. For MTech Material Science & Technology candidate must have MSc (Physics) / MSc (Chemistry) / BTech (Electronics & Communication Engg) / BTech (Electrical Engg) For admission to MTech, candidates have to pass the qualifying examination with at least 50% marks. GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test, but they have to submit the filled up form. Admission into MTech programmes will be done on the basis of performance in SAAT-2015 or valid GATE score and personal interview taken together. After the interview, the merit list prepared by the Board members will be final.
b) MCA: Pass or appearing (in the year 2015) at three year Bachelor Degree in any discipline from any recognised University with at least 50% of marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC Category) having Mathematics at 10+2 level or at +3 level. Candidates having Business mathematics at +2 or +3 level are not eligible.
c) MBA / MHMCT/ MHA / MHTM: Pass or appearing (2015) three year Bachelor Degree in Science, Commerce and Arts / BE / BTech / MBBS / BPharm / BSc Agri /  BVSC / BHMS /BAMS / BDS / BPT / BHMCT / BBA / BCA examination or equivalent in 2015 from any recognised University with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category). For MHMCT the candidate must have secured at least 50% marks (45% incase of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC Category) in BHMCT. Candidate having a minimum composite score of 500 in GMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA or any other equivalent test are exempted from appearing SAAT-2015. They are required only to submit the filled up application form. Admission will be done on the basis of performance in SAAT-2015 or MAT followed by group discussion and personal interview (GD/PI), all taken together.
d) MPharm: Pass or appearing (2015) at BPharm examination from any recognized University with at least 50% marks. The candidates having valid GPAT score can apply. GPAT qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test, but they have to submit the filled up form. Admission into MPharm programme will be done on the basis of performance in SAAT-2015 or valid GPAT and personal interview taken together and a final merit list will be prepared. e) MSc in Biotechnology Pass or appearing (2015) at three year Bachelor degree in Science OR four year Bachelor course in Agriculture / Pharmacy / Veterinary / Engineering / Technology / Medicine (MBBS/BDS) from any recongnised University with at least 50% marks (45% incase of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category).
f) MSc in Nursing: Passed BSc Nursing (Basic/Post Basic)Degree with 55% aggregate from an Institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council with a minimum of one year experience either in teaching or clinical area but they should be registered in State Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.
g) LLM: Pass or appearing (2015) Bachelor Degree in Law or studied Integrated Law Course or equivalent thereof, from any recognized University, securing 50% Marks in aggregate.
For Lateral Entry Programmes:
a) Admission to 2nd year Degree Programme in Engineering, Pharmacy & Hotel Management for Diploma holders: Pass or appearing (in the year 2015) at three year diploma course in Engineering / Pharmacy and Hotel Management respectively with at least 60% marks in aggregate from State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or equivalent. For Pharmacy, pass or appearing (in the year 2015) at two year diploma course in Pharmacy with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from State Board of Pharmacy (SBP) or SCTE&VT, Odisha, or equivalent.
b) Lateral Entry MCA: Pass or appearing (in the year 2015) in three year Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), BSc in Information Technology and BSc in Computer Science with at least 60% of marks in aggregate from any recognized University.
c) Choice of Discipline: Candidates having Diploma in Engineering indicated under Column – I are eligible for admission into the corresponding discipline only mentioned under Column – II (Appendix - XVIII). Candidates will appear a common paper in the entrance test and the branch allotment will be done during the counselling as per Appendix-XVIII.
NOTE: Candidates appearing at the qualifying examination (in the year 2015) may also apply. But, they have to produce the pass certificate of the qualifying examination with pass mark in individual appropriate subjects as mentioned for different programmes on the day of counselling, failing which the rank / position secured in the entrance examination will stand cancelled automatically and they will have no claim for the admission as per the rank. The above mentioned clause is also applicable for pass out candidates. e.g.: For BTech the candidate has to secure pass mark in each of the following subjects - Physics, Mathematics and any one of the subject.

ALL INDIA LAW ENTRANC TEST, AILET 2015

The NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI established in 2008 by Act No. 1 of 2008 is premier Law University established in the capital city of India. The University invites applications for admission to B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M. and Ph.D. Programmes for the academic year 2015-16 commencing from August, 2015. Eligibility, total seats & other details for these programmes are as under:
B.A.. LL.B. (Hons.)- Five Years Programme
Eligibility: Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or Equivalent Examination with 50% of marks. The candidates appearing in the 12th standard examination in March, April, 2015 can also apply.
Age: Below 21 years as on 1 July, 2015 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates).

South Asian University (SAU) is an international university established by the governments of the eight member nations of South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC) viz. Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. SAU started its operations from the academic year 2010. The university, established with an aim to evolve a South Asian consciousness, now offers Master and M.Phil./Ph.D. level programmes in Development Economics, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Applied Mathematics, Sociology, International Relations and Law. SAU attracts students from all member nations and its degrees are recognized by all the eight SAARC countries.

·         For admission to the Master level programmes in SAU, a minimum of 15 years of education under 10+2+3 (i.e., 12 years schooling and 3 years Bachelor’s degree) pattern is essential. Applicants who have completed 4 years of Bachelor’s degree after 10+2 (12 years of schooling) are also eligible, though the Master-level programme will be of two years duration for them. Applicants who have obtained Bachelor’s degree in less than 15 years (e.g., under 10+2+2 pattern) will not be eligible for admission to SAU’s Master level programmes. However, students who have completed two years Bachelor degree and thereafter have also completed one year of M.A./M.Sc., can apply for admission to a Master level course at SAU subject to their fulfilling other prescribed eligibility conditions including percentage of marks which will be average of marks obtained in Bachelor degree and 1st year of M.A./M.Sc. course.
·         For admission to the LL.M. Programme  in SAU, a minimum of 17 years of education (12 years of schooling + 5 years Integrated B.A./LL.B. degree with prescribed percentage of 50% marks) is the minimum prescribed eligibility. Candidates who have completed 12 years of schooling + 3 year Bachelor’s degree + 3 years LL.B. degree or 12 years' schooling and 4 years’ LL.B. degree with prescribed percentage of 50% marks are also eligible.
·         For admission to M.A. (Development Economics), M.A. (Sociology) and M.A. (International Relations) programmes of study, the minimum prescribed eligibility percentage in Bachelor’s degree is 50%. For LL.M., the minimum prescribed eligibility percentage in LL.B. degree is 50%.
·         For M.Sc. (Applied Mathematics), M.Sc. (Biotechnology) and M.Sc. (Computer Science) programmes of study, the minimum eligibility percentage in Bachelors degree is 55%.
·         Applicants who have not yet completed the Bachelor’s degree, but   are yet to appear for their last year / semester exam , may also apply for admission to Master degree programmes and appear in the entrance examination provisionally. If qualified in the admission test, their admission will be confirmed only if they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria of aggregate percentage of marks in Bachelor’s degree. Please note such candidates are given a provisional chance in anticipation of their qualifying degree examination with prescribed percentage of marks/grades and they will not have any claim to admission.
·         No candidate shall be eligible for admission to a Master’s programme unless he/she has attained the age of 20 years for admission to the programme as on 1st October 2015. Provided that the age limit may be relaxed by the President on the recommendations of the Admission Committee on the merit of each case.
·         All students who are offered admission will be required to produce original copies of their final results including mark sheet/grade sheet of their qualifying degree examination at the time of admission. Master level students in all programs of SAU shall be full-time students and shall not be permitted to take full or part-time jobs.

·         For admission to M.Phil./Ph.D. level Programmes  in SAU, a minimum 17 years of education (12 years of schooling + 3 year Bachelor’s degree + 2 year Master’s degree with prescribed percentage of marks as indicated below) is the minimum prescribed eligibility.
·         For M.Phil./Ph.D. (Legal Studies) those who have done LL.B. followed by a one-year LL.M. degree with the prescribed 50% marks are also eligible.
·         For admission to M.Phil./Ph.D. programmes in Economics, Sociology, International Relations, and Legal Studies, the minimum prescribed eligibility percentage in Master’s degree is 50%; and for M.Phil./Ph.D. programmes in Applied Mathematics, Biotechnology and Computer Science, the minimum prescribed eligibility percentage in Master’s degree is 55%.

An Entrance Test will be conducted simultaneously throughout the SAARC Region on April 5, 2015. Application fee for appearing in the entrance test is US $10 or Indian Rupees 600/-. Applicants, who can pay the application fee by credit/debit cards or Net Banking have the option to apply online. For other applicants, there is an option to download the application form, fill it and mail it to SAU along with a bank-draft for US $10 or Indian Rupees 600/- drawn in favor of "South Asian University" payable at New Delhi.

Hostel Facilities: Hostel accommodation (on sharing basis) is provided only to those students who come from outside National Capital Region (NCR). Hostel accommodation is NOT provided for spouse/children or other family members of the admitted students. Mess charges will be extra and are likely to range between US$ 50 to 75 per month.
Medical Facilities: All admitted students are covered under Medical Group Insurance Scheme up to INR 1,50,000 for which full premiums are paid by the University. In addition, the University has its own Health Centre where limited OPD facilities are provided to all students. Expenses incurred by students on purchase of medicines (prescribed by the University doctors) are reimbursed to them as per SAU rules.

For admission to any of the above Integrated First Degree Programmes (except Dubai campus) the candidate should have passed the 12th class examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. For admission to B.Pharm, the eligibility criterion is Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 12th. However candidates with PCM may also apply for Pharmacy program. Further, the candidate should have obtained a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects in 12th class examination, at least 60%marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology subjects and adequate proficiency in English. However, admissions will be made only on his/her merit position based on the score obtained in BITSAT 2015.
Only Students who are appearing for 12th class examination in 2015 or who have passed the 12th class examination in 2014 are eligible to appear for BITSAT-2015. Direct Admission to Board Toppers: Students who obtain first rank in any central or state level board exam in India held in the year 2015 will be given direct admission to the programme of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2015 score subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria
In addition to applying and appearing for BITSAT-2015, candidates will have to apply for admission to BITS through a separate application form for seeking admission to programmes offered at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses along with the detail of their 12th class marks
The prescribed application form, the detailed application procedure and the final list of degree programmes offered will be available by 20th May 2015 on the BITS website
How to Apply:
Interested candidates should register their names for BITSAT-2015 by applying in the prescribed application form online; complete the application form online at website and pay the prescribed fees
Also take the print out of the filled form for your future reference
The prescribed fee for BITSAT 2015 is Rs. 2090/- (Rs. 1590/- for female candidates)
If a candidate chooses Dubai as a test center the application fee for both male and female candidates will be same and will be US $ 50 (or Indian Rs. 3100/-)

Deadline to apply for BITSAT-2015 online along with the fee payment is 16th February 2015
Those who register for the test and reserve test dates have to download the ‘Hall ticket’, along with instructions, from BITS website as per the schedule given earlier; the tests will be conducted during 14th May to 29th May 2015
In order to facilitate a large number of students all over India to participate in this test, apart from Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses of BITS where it is expected that a large number of students will take the test, the Institute is also planning to offer the tests at dedicated test centers in several cities

BSAUEEE 2015, B S Abdur Engineering Entrance Examination 2015

B.S. Abdur Rahman University (BSAU), Chennai exam dates for B.S. Abdur Engineering Entrance Examination (BSAUEEE), which will be conducted in April 2015. The BSAUEEE will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015.
BSAUEEE is conducted for taking to admission to 4 years Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) offered in various disciplines and 5 years Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programs for the session 2015.
Ø       Candidates should have passed 12th standard examination conducted by state board/ CBSE/ ICSE or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. For Biotechnology programs, minimum 50% aggregate in Mathematics / Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
Ø       Students appearing for 10+2 examination in March/April 2015 are eligible to apply.
Ø       Candidates should have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks with Mathematics and English as subjects of study.
Ø       Candidates should have passed National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA).
Ø       Students appearing for 10+2 examination in March/April 2015 are eligible to apply.

Ø       Application forms can also be obtained in person from the University Admission Office, on payment of Rs 600/- by cash or DD drawn in favour of "B.S.Abdur Rahman University", payable at Chennai.
