Admission for Higher Degree Admission Test: First Semester 2015-16
The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, is an Institution declared as Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act. It is an All-India Institute for Higher Education for Men and Women, fully residential, and awards its own degrees
Admissions to all the Higher Degree Programmes of BITS, Pilani, at its Pilani Campus, Goa Campus and Hyderabad Campus for the I Semester 2015-16 will be made on the basis of a Computer based Online Test conducted by BITS, Pilani followed by interview(s) of shortlisted candidates
M.E.: Biotechnology (Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad); Chemical (Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad);
Civil with Specialization in Structural Engg (Pilani & Hyderabad);
Civil with Specialization in Transporation Engg (Pilani only);
Civil with Specialization in Instrastructure Systems (Pilani only);

Duration: Normally 4 Semesters
A minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying exam
Once the candidates are selected for admission in the higher degree programmes, they have to report alongwith the original marksheets and qualifying degree certificate on 29th July 2015; if their final result of the qualifying exam is not available on the reporting date i.e. 29th July 2015 then they should have atleast already appeared in all exams of final year and they must submit their qualifying degree and marksheets latest by 01st October 2015
If they do not submit the original qualifying degree and mark-sheets by 01st October 2015, their admission to the program will automatically
M.E Biotechnology: Any integrated first degree of BITS or its equivalent with adequate preparation in Bio-chemistry and Microbiology
M.E. Chemical: Integrated first degree of BITS in Chemical Engineering or its equivalent such as BE, B.Tech (Chemical)
M.E. Civil: Integrated first degree of BITS in Civil Engineering or its equivalent such as BE, B.Tech (Civil)
M.E. Computer Science: Integrated first degree of BITS in Computer Science/Engineering or its equivalent such as BE, B.Tech (Computer Science/Engineering); candidates with a B.E, B.Tech degree in IT area will not be eligible to apply for M.E Computer Science
M.E. Communication Engineering: Integrated first degree of BITS in Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication or its equivalent such as BE, B.Tech in these disciplines
M.E. Mechanical; Design Engg.; Manufacturing Systems Engg.: Integrated first degree of BITS in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or its equivalent such as BE, B.Tech in these disciplines
M.E. Mechanical (with specialization in Thermal Engg): Integrated first degree of BITS in Mechanical or its equivalent such as BE, B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
M.E. Embedded Systems: Integrated first degree of BITS in Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication/Computer Science or its equivalent such as BE, B.Tech in these disciplines
M.E. Microelectronics: Integrated first degree of BITS in Electrical & Electronics,  Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics & Communication/Computer Science, Physics or its equivalent
M.E. Software Systems: Any Integrated first degree of BITS or its equivalent with specific prior preparation; candidates with a B.E, B.Tech degree in IT area are eligible to apply for M.E Software Systems; they may need some specific prior preparation
M.Pharm; M.Pharm (with specialization in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry): Integrated first degree of BITS in Pharmacy or its equivalent such as B.Pharm
Admissions to all Programmes will be made purely on merit
Admissions to all higher degree Programmes are based on the performance of the candidates in the computer based online test conducted by BITS test will be a computer based online test conducted by BITS Pilani at dedicated centers at different cities of India
Computer Based Online Test means the candidate sits in front of a Computer and the Questions are presented on the Computer Monitor and the candidate submits the answers though the use of Keyboard & Mouse; each computer is connected to a server, which prepares the question set and delivers it to the candidate on the computer
Admissions to ME/M.Pharm are based on performance of candidates in Computer-Based Online Test conducted by BITS; the online tests will be held during 30th - 31st May 2015 at Centers in India
Test I
Duration of the test 60 minutes and total number of questions 60 (sixty). Test I is compulsory for all students who are applying for any of the higher degree programmes of the Institute and will consist of the following sections:
i. Mathematics - 15 Questions
ii. Physics - 15 Questions
iii. English Language Skills & Principles of Management - 15 Questions
iv. Computer Programming - 15 Questions
Total No. of Questions: 60 (Sixty)
Duration of the test 120 minutes and total number of questions 100 (hudered). Test II is compulsory for Students applying for all higher degree programs except those who are applying for only Software Systems
The Test II subject for a student is based on his/her qualifying degree program; this paper will attempt to test student’s grasp of the basic subjects of his discipline
For all the above tests all questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions); each question with four answers choices only one being the correct choice; each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark
No marks are awarded or deducted for questions not attempted; while the candidate can skip a question, the computer will not allow the candidate to choose more than one option as the correct answer
All the questions and instructions of the test will be in English only
Each candidate who registers for test will be required to download a Hall ticket from the website during 26th May - 29th May 2015
In order to facilitate a larger number of students all over India to participate in this test, apart from Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad where it is expected that a large number of students will take the test, the Institute is also planning to offer the tests at dedicated test centers in several cities:

As pre requisite for admission to MBBS degree course, candidates must have appeared in Common Entrance Test 2015. However, mere appearance will not automatically qualify a candidate for admission to MBBS degree course. For admission to MBBS degree course, the candidate should fulfil the necessary requirements prescribed by Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University
Candidates for admission to the First Year MBBS degree course should have passed the H.Sc (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or other equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC) in the subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany/Zoology) / Bio-Technology, Candidates must have taken English as a core subject

The University will not be responsible for postal or any other delay. Incomplete/Wrongly filled application will be summarily rejected
The application received after the due date and time will also be summarily rejected and no further correspondence in the matter will be entertained
The Hall Ticket for SBVDUMCET 2015, containing the Name, Registration Number and Photograph will be sent to the candidate by Post. The Hall Ticket must be produced at the time of Entrance Test. Without the Hall Ticket no candidate will be permitted to write the test
If the Hall Ticket is not received by 10th June 2015 the candidate should contact “Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute” or write to The Secretary, SBVDUMCET 2015 with two passport size photographs and proof for having applied for the test to get the duplicate Hall Ticket

GKCIET All India Entrance Test (GET-I) – 2015

Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute of Engineering & Technology [GKCIET], Malda is going to conduct the GKCIET All India Entrance Test-2015 (GET-I) in the following centres (1) Kolkata (WB) , (2) Malda (WB), (3) Guwahati (Assam) , (4) Patna (Bihar) , (5) Delhi, (6) Chennai (Tamilnadu) on 31st May 2015 for the admission to the Certificate Courses of two years duration in (i) Food Processing and Preservation, (ii) Servicing and Maintenance of Electrical Appliances, (iii) Repairing & Maintenance of Auto and Farm Machineries, (iv) Construction Technology, (v) Computer Applications, (vi) Chemical Technology and (vii) Sericulture & Textile Technology coducted in the year 2015-16
Following three types of Programmes are offered by the institute:
a) Certificate - 2 Years duration
b) Diploma - 2 Years duration (50% seats for vertical promotion from Certificate to Diploma module for GKCIET Certificate holders and remaining 50% through lateral entry)
c) Degree - 2 Years duration (50% seats for vertical promotion from Diploma to Degree Module for GKCIET Diploma holders

The minimum qualification for admission to the Certificate programme is Matric (10th Std) pass (Pass in English, Mathematics and Science is compulsory) from a State Secondary Education Board/CBSE/ICSE/National Open School or equivalent
Admission to all Certificate courses shall be made on the basis of a National Level Entrance Test (GET-I)

Seats are also reserved for candidate belonging to OBC/SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates as per the guidelines issued by MHRD, Govt. of India and as Institute adopt it
The candidates have to fulfill the medical standards required for admission as set out by the Institute. Notwithstanding anything aforesaid, the admission of a candidate shall be subject to:
i. Submission of a migration/school leaving certificate from the concerned Board or University (within three (3) months from the date of admission)
ii. Good conduct certificate from the Head of the Institute last studied

GKCIET All India Entrance Test (GET-I) for admission to Certificate Programme will consist of one paper of 2 hours 30 minutes duration
This paper will have 150 objective type questions of 150 marks from English & General Knowledge, Mathematics and Physical Science
Candidates appearing for GET-I shall have to answer questions in English. Question paper will be provided in English only

Submit the complete printout / filled application form along with the followings:
i) Demand draft of appropriate fees
ii) Copy of Admit Card/equivalent of qualifying examination (self-attested)

iv) Copy of Domicile Certificate (self-attested) from Govt/local bodies to claim territorial quota. The original of the same will have to furnish during counseling
v) Copy of Cast Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) (self-attested) from competent authority to claim reserved quota under the category. The original of the same will have to furnish during counseling

Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi has announced the exam dates for Pre Ayurveda Entrance Test (PAT), which will be conducted in July 2015. BHU PAT will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2015.
BHU PAT is conducted for taking to admission to Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) program offered at Faculty of Ayurveda, Institute of Medical Sciences and Bachelor of Pharmacy in Ayurveda (B.Pharm (Ay))/Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) program offered at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkachha, Mirzapur for the academic year 2015.
Eligibility Criteria for BHU PAT 2015:
·         Candidate shall be eligible to appear in BHU-PAT-2015, if he/she:
·         Is an Indian national.
·         Has passed the intermediate Science or Pre-Medical Course/12 years of 10+2 examination or equivalent examination of recognized Indian university/board/ council with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (hereinafter called the qualifying examination).
·         Has obtained not less than 50% of the total marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the qualifying examination.
Application Procedure for BHU PAT 2015:
·         Candidates can apply online.
·         Candidates has to pay Rs. 1200/- for GEN/OBC and Rs. 800/- for SC/ST candidates through online banking by using credit/ debit card (ATM card) / internet banking.
·         The question paper shall be a single paper containing 200 objective questions in English and Hindi.
·         The paper will consist of four sections of 50 questions each containing objective type (multiple choices) questions as detailed below:

Research Management Aptitude Test (RMAT) - AIMA

All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh has announced the exam dates for Research Management Aptitude Test (RMAT), which will be conducted in May 2015. RMAT will be held on Saturday, May 09, 2015.
RMAT is conducted for taking to admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Business Administration program for the academic year 2015.
·         Master’s degree in Management or allied subjects from Commerce,
·         Humanities, Science, Engineering and Law etc. or a PGDM/PGDITM approved by AICTE with not less than 55% marks or equivalent grade OR Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy or any other professional qualification which are considered equivalent to master degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of 50% marks in graduation. And
·         Minimum 5 years post qualification work experience in industry at the managerial level or a minimum 5 years of teaching experience as full time Faculty in a Management Institute approved by AICTE or affiliated to a university.
·         Candidates can apply online.
·         Send the duly completed print version of online application form having auto generated registration no. to “Manager (PhD Program), AIMA-CME, Management House, 14 Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003".
·         Candidates are required to obtain a demand draft for Rs.1500/- drawn in favour of 'All India Management Association' payable at New Delhi, in advance.
The duration of the test is 90 minutes.
There are 100 questions.
All questions are compulsory.
Each question has four options marked (1), (2), (3) and (4).
All questions carry equal mark.
There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
The fee structure for the PhD Programme is as under:

NATBOARD DNB Final Exam 2015 (Broad Specialty)

The Diplomate of National Board (DNB) invites application form eligibile candidates for Final Examination (Broad Specialty) during the admission session June 2015
Information bulletin and application form for Diplomate of National Board Final Examination (Broad Specialties)
National Board of Examination (NBE) shall conduct the DNB Final Examination on 13th & 14th June 2015 in various Specialities
DNB - Final is an exit examination leading to the award of DNB qualification
A candidate holding a medical qualification (DM/ MS) i.e. having passed the final examination in a specialty recognized as per the provisions of Indian Medical Council
A candidate registered with the Board as a DNB trainee and obtaining requisite period of training as prescribed by the Board & fulfilling other eligibility criteria as stated in the Information Bulletin may appear for the DNB final examination (Broad Specialty)
Applications for admission to the examination should definitely reach NBE by the specified date
a) DNB training: Candidates who have undergone training as a DNB trainee at any National Board of Examinations accredited institute or any medical college/university recognized institute after having registered with NBE as a DNB trainee and are completing their prescribed (as per registration letter) training as DNB trainee as per the following schedule:
Cut off date for completion of DNB Training: 15th November 2015
Can undertake the DNB Final Examination in the same specialty subjected to completion of training by the date mentioned & submission of certificate to this effect
Submission of Training Completion Certificate along with leave records for DNB trainees is an essential pre-requisite. In case the candidate does not submit the training Completion certificate (as per applicable format given in Annexure III & IV) with the application form, his/her application may be rejected and fees forfeited
b) MD/MS: Candidates who have passed the final examination leading to the award of Post Graduate Degree from Indian Universities which are duly recognized as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act 1956 i.e. have passed the final examinations for MD/MS degrees on or before 31st April 2015 can apply for the DNB Final examination in same broad specialty
Submission of proof of having passed the MD/MS final examination on or before 31st April 2015 is an essential prerequisite. In case the candidate does not submit the requisite proof of passing MD/MS before 30th April 2015, his/ her application shall be rejected & fees forfeited
c) Post Diploma: Candidates who are registered with the Board and completing their prescribed training (as per the registration letter) by 15th October 2015 are eligible (Admission Session July 2013) Submission of Training Completion Certificate along with leave records for DNB trainees is an essential pre- requisite
In case the candidate does not submit the training Completion certificate and leave records (as per applicable format given in Annexure-III & IV) with the application form, his/her application may be rejected and fees forfeited
For Board Specialities: The DNB Final is a two-stage exam comprising of theory and practical component
An eligible candidate who has qualified the theory examination is permitted to appear in the practical exam
A candidate unsuccessful in the first attempt of practical examination is permitted to undertake two more attempts in practical these attempts shall be any 2 practical exams of the exams placed with the next 3 sessions of theory examination and after payment of full examination fees as may be prescribed by NBE
i) The theory examination comprises of four papers, maximum marks 100 each
ii) There are 10 short notes of 10 marks each in the question paper. The number of short notes and their respective marks weightage may vary in some subjects/some papers.
iii) Maximum time permitted is 3 hours for each question paper
iv) Candidate must score at least 50% in the aggregate of 4 papers to qualify the theory examination
v) Candidates appearing for General Medicine, Paediatrics and Family Medicine 4 paper shall be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based exam; there shall be 200 questions of single response type
Each question shall carry 0.5 marks i.e. maximum marks shall be 100
There shall be negative marking of 20% i.e., each correct answer will give 0.5 marks and each incorrect response shall lead to deduction of 0.1 marks
vi) Only those candidates who have qualified the theory examination are permitted to take up the practical exam
i) Maximum Marks: 300
ii) Comprises of Clinical Examination and Viva
iii) Candidate must obtain a minimum of 50% marks in the Clinical/Examination (including Viva) to qualify for the Practical Exam
There are no grace marks in Practical Examination
iv) There are a maximum of three attempts that can be availed by a candidate for Practical Exam
v) First attempt is the practical examination following immediately after the declaration of theory results
vi) Second and third attempt in practical examination shall be permitted out of the next three sessions of practical examinations placed alongwith the next three successive theory examination sessions; after payment of full examination fees as may be prescribed by NBE
vii) Absentation from Practical Examination is counted as an attempt
Candidate is required to download the Application Form 1 & Application Form 2 from the website and submit the duly filled Application Forms along with the necessary documents before the prescribed cut off date i.e. 06th May 2015
Enclose photocopies of certificates and Pay-In-Slip (NBE copy) with the Application Form
The check list as in this information bulletin is to be annexed with the application form to be submitted to the NBE office
Candidates who are not in service shall get their forms signed by a Gazetted Officer
Applications of candidates producing false or fabricated records will not be considered and the candidate may be further debarred from appearing in any future examinations
Candidates should ensure before applying for the registration that their MBBS/ MD/MS/Diploma/DM/M.Ch is recognized by MCI
If it is found at any time that the Degree/Diploma is not recognized by MCI then the NBE will have the right to cancel the registration. Registration with NBE is mandatory for all candidates appearing in DNB Examinations
Candidates are requested to kindly superscibed the envelope with the subject matter of the correspondence for expeditious processing
