Undergraduate (MBBS/BDS) Courses

The candidates seeking admission to MBBS/BDS course-2013 in the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU must register themselves by applying directly to the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences in the prescribed application form downloaded from the BHU and IMS click here along with the prescribed fee However, the admission will be done strictly on the basis of their merit in the NEET-UG-2013 examination The fee for registration for UG courses will be Rs 1000/- for General/OBC and Rs 600/- for SC/ST candidates All candidates eligible for NEET-UG-2013 are eligible for registering themselves irrespective of their State of domicile.

The candidates who have registered for admission to MBBS/BDS course 2013 must submit their score card of NEET-UG-2013 within 15 days after declaration of their results to the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi

Tentative counseling for admission of UG courses (MBBS/BDS) will be held on 04th July, 2013

Postgraduate (MD/MS) Courses

The candidates interested in seeking admission to MD/MS courses in the Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU should register themselves by applying in the prescribed application form downloaded from the BHU and IMS click here along with the prescribed fee by demand draft in favour of Director, IMS payable at Varanasi and a copy of NEET-PG 2013 score card by 15th April 2013

The prescribed fee is Rs 1500/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs 1000/- for SC/ST candidates

In case the results of NEET-PG 2013 are not declared before submission of the application form, a copy of the score card should be sent to the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi within 15 days of the declaration of the result

Tentative counseling date for admission of PG courses will be in the last week of May

The exact date will be displayed on our IMS website within 15 days after declaration of the NEET-PG-2013 result

MDS Courses

The admission to MDS courses 2013 will be made strictly on the basis of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2013-2014 (NEET-2013) conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences

The applications received after the last date on any account including postal delays will not be registered

The prescribed fee is Rs 1500/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs 1000/- for SC/ST candidates

In case the results of NEET-2013 are not declared before submission of the application form, a copy of the score card should be sent to the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi within 15 days of the declaration of the result

All the seats to be filled through IMS, BHU counseling

Common Premedical Entrance Examination (CPMEE) is conducted by the Government of India for the candidates who aspire to take admission in various courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BHMS. The Uttaranchal Council of Entrance examination, association formed by the private unaided Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic and Homeopathic colleges of Uttarakhand would be conducting the Common Pre Medical Entrance Examination

Eligibility:

Candidate must be born on or after 31st December, 1993 (ie not less than 17 years)

For MBBS, BDS and BAMS: Candidate must have passed HSC (10+2 or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% and 40% for SC/ST/OBCs categories

For BHMS: The candidates who have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology shall be eligible

Maharashtra Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test (MAH-MCA-CET) 2013

The Maharashtra Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test (MAH-MCA-CET) will be held on 7 April 2013 in Maharashtra and a few cities outside the state. Admission will be available to government aided, government, university managed, university departments and unaided institutes in Maharashtra.

Directorate of Technical Education

The Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, maintains standards for technical education through developing government institutions, forming policies and supervising aided, private institutions. It also works with state government departments and Government of India Statutory Organizations.

Eligibility:

The minimum eligibility criteria to appear for the exam is 50 percent aggregate marks in any bachelor's degree of at least three year duration from a recognized university, or the equivalent. Minimum marks for backward class categories and Physically Handicapped candidates from Maharashtra state are 45 percent. Candidates should also have studied mathematics or statistics as a subject at the 10+2 level or higher. If you have appeared for the final year exam of a pending bachelor's degree, you are also eligible provided you earn the minimum marks as listed above.

The application kit will be available at certain Axis Bank branches. Candidates can apply online by submitting and confirming the online application form (atwww.dte.org.in/mca2013).The printed application may only be obtained after confirming the application. No documents need to be submitted by mail during the online application form stage.

The application fee may be paid at select Axis Bank Branches in cash, or online with Internet payment, credit card or debit card. For open category candidates from Maharashtra state and from outside the state, the fee is Rs 750. For backward class categories from Maharashtra, the fee is Rs 550.

The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT 2013) would be conducted under the aegis of National Monitoring Committee, All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi by The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, for the first time as per AICTE

GPAT 2013 examination would be conducted along with JAM-2013 examination different centers (to be notified) through out India.

The Scores in Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) for admission in Master’s Programme in Pharmacy (MPharm) and also for awarding fellowships/scholarships to Pharmacy Graduate along with engineering graduates. The Organizing Committee for GATE has expressed its inability to include Pharmacy graduates in GATE with effect from the year 2013, owing to operational problems due to large number of candidates appearing for GATE examination.

ELIGIBILITY FOR GPAT 2013

Persons holding Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) or appearing in the Final year examination of BPharmacy (4 years after 10+2) in the year 2013 only are eligible for appearing for GPAT-2013 examination.
