IIT JAM 2014, Indian Institute of Technology, Joint Admission Test MSc

Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM} 2014 will be held on 9th February, 2014 (Sunday) for admission to Integrated PhD degree programs at HSc Bangalore (HSc) and MSc (two-years), Joint MSc - PhD, MSc - PhD Dual degree and other post-bachelor's degree programs at HTs (Bhubaneswar (IITBBS). Bombay (HTB), Delhi (IITD), Gandhinagar (IITGN), Guwahati (IITG). Hyderabad (IITH), Indore (IITI), Kanpur (DTK), Kharagpur (lITKgp), Madras (HTM) and Roorkee (IITR)) for the academic session 2014-15. JAM 2014 is open to all nationals. However, foreign nationals will be required to satisfy the rules and regulations of the admitting Institute(s) pertaining to foreign students for admission.
JAM 2014 is being organized by IIT Kanpur. All correspondences related to JAM 2014 must be addressed to Organizing Chairman, GATE/JAM Office, IIT Kanpur, Kanpur-208016.
·         For IISc Bangalore: First class (as declared by the university) for General/OBC category candidates and second class (as declared by the university) or 50% aggregate marks, without rounding off, for SC/ST and PD category candidates in the qualifying degree.
·         For IIT Guwahati: At least (a) 56% marks in Major/Honors and pass in all other subjects, including languages and subsidiaries 55% aggregate marks (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for General/OBC category candidates and at least (a) 50% marks in Major/Honors and pass in all other subjects, including languages and subsidiaries Or (b) 50% aggregate marks (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for SC, ST and PD category candidates in the qualifying degree.
·         For all other IITs: Atleast 55% aggregate marks, without rounding off, (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for General/OBC Category candidates and at least 50% aggregate marks, without rounding off, (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for SC/ST and PD Category candidates 'm the qualifying degree.
For candidates with letter grades/CGPA (instead of percentage of marks) the equivalence in percentage of marks with be decided by the admitting institute(s).
·         Proof of having passed the qualifying degree with required eligibility, as specified by the admitting institute should be submitted by 30th September, 2014.
·         Reservation Policy: As per Government of India norms.
A candidate can apply/register for JAM 2014 through Online process only during 16th September to 16* October, 2013. A student has to first register as a user on the JAM-2014 website. Then the candidate needs to fill-in all the personal data. Once all the personal data is submitted (the personal data cannot be changed at a later stage) the candidate can make a payment either through net-banking or through challan. In case you choose to pay through net-banking, the site will take you to a secure site from which the payment can be made and then you will be directed back to JAM-2014 website for taking printout of the online registration form. In case you choose to pay through challan, you can generate a PDF-file of the challan, latest by 12th October, 2013. The challan needs to be presented, the next day, to any Core Banking Branch of State Bank of India for payment After two days of making the payment, you will be allowed to login into your JAM-2014 account for updating the information related to challan payment and only then you will be able to take a printout of the online registration form. The payment is to be made to the account of "Chairman JAM", State Bank of India, IIT Kanpur (For A/C No. etc, refer to JAM website).
Online registration will be available during: 16th September, 2013 to 16th October, 2013
Date of JAM-2014 test: 09th February, 2014, Sunday

Applications are invited to the XXth batch (2014-16) of Master of International Business (MIB) and Master of Human Resource and Organisational Development (MHROD)
Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from the University of Delhi or any other University recognised as an equivalent thereto, with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Our Department uses CAT percentile for short-listing the candidates for our Post-graduate Programme(s) MIB and MHROD. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
The candidate should follow the CAT advertisement of IIMs for procurement of CAT 2013 voucher.
Admission process: The admission to MIB/MHROD courses will be made on the basis of CAT percentile, GD score, and Interview score. Students will have to submit CAT percentile after appearing in the Common Admission Test conducted by IIMs. The candidate has to apply separately for CAT 2013 to IIMs and for GD & Interview to the Department.
Mode of Application: There are four modes of applying to the MIB-MHROD courses.
(i) Prospectus & Application form can be obtained and submitted by paying application fees through bank draft.
(ii) Prospectus & Application form can also be downloaded from submitted, by post or by hand, by paying the fees as mentioned below.
(iii) Prospectus & Application form can be obtained by post from The Section Officer, De­partment of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 by adding Rs. 100 to the fees mentioned below according to the respective category fee along with one self-addressed envelope (28cms x 22cms).
(iv) Student can also apply online. Details of the online mode of application will be notified at the Department's website shortly.
The application money for MIB-MHROD courses is Rs. 2000/- for General/CW/OBC and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST/PWD. Bank Draft should be drawn in favour of the Registrar, University of Delhi, from any nationalised Bank, payable at Delhi. Write name, address, telephone and course(s) applied for at the back of Bank Draft.

Axis Bank has entered into a tie-up with Manipal Global Education to create the Axis Bank Young Bankers (ABYB) program offering a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking Services (PGDBS) and a guaranteed job with Axis Bank on successful completion
The Post Graduate Diploma in Banking (PGDBS) Services would be a one-year program comprising of four trimesters of 13 weeks each
The eligibility criteria for applying for admission are:
Qualification: Graduates from any stream, with 55% and above in their graduation and a consistent academic performance
Age: Age limit 25 years, born on or after 1st April, 1988
The selection will be through a two stage selection process, which is aimed at selecting candidates who are most likely to succeed at various Branch banking roles offered by the Bank

Stipend and Salary

Medical Insurance cover of Rs.1,00,000/- is provided to the student by the bank for the duration of course
Salary: On successful completion of the course the student would be absorbed as an Assistant Manager in the Bank with a gross CTC (cost to company) of Rs.3.71 lakhs per annum

500 SCHOLARSHIPS (NATIONAL FUND) For STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2013-14 National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC), for and on behalf of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, invites applications from Students with Disabilities for award of Scholarship Scheme (National Fund) Under this scheme, 500 National Scholarships will be awarded to eligible students with disabilities for pursuing higher academic/professional or technical qualification. 
Applicant has to apply online (www.nhfdc.nic.in) for scholarship from 01.07.2013 to 31.08.2013 and scholarship shall be awarded once in a academic year under this scheme. Applicant has to submit hard copy of the application duly recommended by the head of the institution. 
Financial assistance can be given for computer with editing software for blind/deaf graduate and post graduate students pursuing professional courses and for support access software for cerebral palsy students. 
Monthly income of the beneficiary/parent or guardian should not be more than Rs 15, 000/ - (Rs. 1.80 Lakh pa) from all sources. Family income includes income of parent/guardian.
Scholarship holder under this scheme will not concurrently hold any other scholarship/stipend.

As per pre-requisite admission to the Management Quota to MBBS Degree Course, Candidates must have appeared in CETPPMC – 2013. However, mere appearance in CETPPMC – 2013 will not automatically qualify a candidate for admission to MBBS Degree Course. For admission to MBBS Degree Course, the candidate should fulfill the necessary admission requirements prescribed by Government of Pondicherry for that degree course.
Candidate for admission to the first year MBBS Degree Course should have passed the HSc (Academic) examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40 % for SC/OBC) in the following subjects:

Candidates desirous of appearing for the Common Entrance Test (CETPPMC – 2013) conducted by the Association should fill their application in the prescribed format and send directly by post.
Candidates who use the downloaded application form have to pay Rs.1050/- (Rupees One thousand and fifty only) as a Demand Draft separately towards the cost of the application along with the completed application form. The Application and information booklet can also be obtained in person on payment of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) by cash from the Association Office and respective colleges or can be obtained by post by sending a requisition along with the Demand Draft for Rs.1050/- (Rupees one thousand and fifty only) inclusive of postal charges drawn in favour of “PLRMMDCWA (Pondicherry Linguistic and Religious Minority Medical and Dental Colleges Welfare Association) payable at Pondicherry. After processing, if found eligible, the Hall Ticket will be sent to the candidates by post.

On-line proposals are invited from AICTE approved Institutions/University departments for disbursement of Post Graduate Scholarship for the 1st Year students admitted in the academic year 2013-14 and IInd Year students admitted in the academic year 2012-13 with valid GATE/GPAT score in ME / MTech / MPharm programmes.
Procedure to be followed by Institutes and students eligible for PG scholarship where they have been admitted:
  • All the Institutes shall upload the PG students details on the AICTE portal on or before 30th August, 2013 and distribute student Unique ID generated by the system to all the PG students admitted in the Institute
  • All the Post Graduate students having valid GATE/GPAT and admitted in AICTE approved Institutions / University departments shall collect student Unique ID from the Institute and Login on the AICTE web portal at www.aicte-india.org and upload following on the portal
    1. Scanned PDF copy of GATE/GPAT score card
    2. Scanned PDF copy of the Passbook
    3. Scanned copy of the Aadhar card, if available

The scholarship will be credited to the account of the student under the DBT scheme after the requisite information is uploaded by the student and the same is verified and approved by the institute.
