Gitam University Entrance Exam 2015, GITAM - GAT 2015

Gitam Admission Test (GAT) is a computer based online test conducted for admission to UG and PG Technolgy and Pharmacy Programs in GITAM University at its Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru Campuses
GITAM University, established u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, is one of India is premier universities having 34 years of track record in teaching and research of global standards; the University is located in three picturesque campuses at Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru
The GAT (UGTP)-2015 (Online Admission Test) is conducted for admission to the following programs Programs offered: Visakhapatnam, Hyderbad and Bangaluru campuses
4-Year B.Tech Degree: 1) Electronics & Communication Engg., 2) Electronics & Instrumentation Engg., 3) Computer Science & Engg., 4) Mechanical Engg., 5) Electrical & Electronics Engg., 6) Information Technology, 7) Civil Engg., 8) Industrial Engg., 9) Biotechnology (Visakhapatnam); 10) Aeronautical Engineering (Hyderabad)
5 Year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch); 4 Year B.Pharmacy

6 Year Dual Degree (B.Tech. + M.Tech):
1) B.Tech + M.Tech (ECE); 2) B.Tech + M.Tech (Mechanical)
B.Tech: Pass in Intermediate or 10+2 examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (50% aggregate marks for B.Arch/B.Pharm) in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination from a recognized Central/State Board or its equivalent either in 2015 or 2014 and rank obtained in GAT (UGTP)-2015
Note: Candidates with Mathematics/Biology, Physics & Chemistry subjects are eligible for B.Tech Biotechnology (60% aggregate marks in group and First Class/equivalent grade) and B.Pharmacy *Candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. program shall qualify in NATA/JEE (Main)
The duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of three sections
Section-A: Mathematics/Biology 40 (no of questions); 120 (marks)
Section-B: Physics 30 (no of questions); 90 (marks)
Section-C: Chemistry 30 (no of questions); 90 (marks)
Total: 100 (no of question); 300 (marks)
GAT (PGT)-2015 (Online Admission Test) is conducted for admission to the following M.Tech Programs offered at Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam Campuses Visakhapatnam Campus: Software Engineering (SE); Information Technology (IT); RF & Microwave Engineering (RF & ME); Embedded Systems(EBD); Digital Systems & Signal Processing (DSSP); Electronic Instrumentation (EI); Structural Engg. & Natural Disaster Management (SENDM); Machine Design (MD); CAD/CAM; Industrial Engineering & Management (IEM); Biotechnology; Food Processing Technology (FPT) Hyderabad Campus: Computer Science and Technology (CST); VLSI Design; Power Systems and Automation (PSA)
Eligibility Criteria: Pass in the qualifying examination from recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade and score obtained in GAT (PGT) 2015 as specified below:

Admission Test GAT (PGT)-2015: The duration of the test is 2 hours. The test consists of three sections
Section-A: Numerical Data Analysis/Quantitative Analysis 40 (no of questions); 120 (marks)
Section-B: Reasoning and Intelligence 30 (no of questions); 90 (marks)
Section-C: Verbal Ability 30 (no of questions); 90 (marks)
Total: 100 (no of question); 300 (marks)
Note:
·         All questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions) each question has four options out of which one is correct answer. Each correct answer will be awarded 3 marks. 1 mark will be deducted from the score for each wrong answer. The unanswered questions will receive nil marks
·         GATE qualified candidates are exempted from appearing for GAT (PGT) - 2015, however they need to apply to GITAM University for admission before the last date and the candidate has to attend counselling as per the schedule

The GAT (PGP) - 2015 (Online Admission Test) is conducted for admission to the following M.Pharmacy Programs offered at Visakhapatnam Campus
2 Year M.Pharmacy Programs offered at Visakhapatnam Campus
1) Pharmaceutics; 2) Pharmacology; 3) Pharmaceutical Analysis & Quality Assurance; 4) Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Eligibility Criteria: Pass in B.Pharmacy from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade and Score obtained in GAT (PGP) - 2015 Section-A: Pharmaceutics: 25 (no of questions); 75 (marks)
Section-B: Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance 25 (no of questions); 75 (marks)
Section-C: Pharmacology 25 (no of questions); 75 (marks)
Section-D: Pharmaceutical Chemistry 25 (no of questions); 75 (marks)
Total: 100 no of questions; 300 (marks)
Note:

·         Applications are available throughout India in Union Bank of India/Indian Bank/Karur Vysya Bank; list of branches is available on the website
The filled - in application along with Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- (Rs.600/- for female candidates), drawn in favor of Gitam University, payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank, should reach Director-Admissions, Gitam University, Gandhi Nagar Campus, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam-530045, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA on or before 31st March 2015
