GPAT 2016 – All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) conducts Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test 2016 (GPAT) every year to provide admissions to Pharmacy graduates into the Masters (M. Pharm) programmes. GPAT 2016 will be conducted tentatively in the last week of February 2016 for the candidates who wish to get admission in Post Graduate programme in Pharmacy.

A few scholarships and other financial assistance in the field of Pharmacy are also given on the basis of the outcome of GPAT 2016. The GPAT 2016 score, rank card is valid for one year from the date of announcement of result for admission to any institutes across India. The GPAT 2016 score, rank card is also valid for one year for the purpose of obtaining scholarships. Also, the same will be valid for 3 years in case a candidate wishes to register for a Ph.D degree programme.

Eligibility

·         Applicants must be a citizen of India.

·         They must be Bachelor’s degree holders in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates)

·         Those who are in the final year of B. Pharmacy course are also eligible for appearing in GPAT 2016 exam.

Admission Process

The detailed merit list will be provided to the respective state governments for allotting the students through central counseling or otherwise as per their notified admission procedure

In case there is no central counseling scores awarded will be used for admission in the AICTE approved institutes, university departments

GPAT 2016 Application Procedure

Applicants are required to register online only by visiting the official website of GPAT (website)

Online from 03rd November 2015 to 10th December 2015 on website 

Choice of 3 cities for online examination in the order of preference

Allotment will be based on first come first served. Actual allotment however, will be subject to availability of the slots in a particular city

Test Fee: General, OBC Rs. 1400/- plus bank charges as applicable; SC, ST, PD Rs. 700/- plus bank charges as applicable

Payment Mode: Net Banking, Credit, Debit Card (online through website); cash payment (through challan generated online and cash deposited in any branch State Bank of India)
