School of Engineering

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies
(UPES) was established in 2003 through UPES Act, 2003 of the State Legislature
of Uttarakhand. UPES is recognized by UGC under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act,
1956 and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
UPES is Asia’s first core sector university and is the first Indian institution
to offer 79 graduate and post graduate programs across 14 core sectors like oil
and gas, power, infrastructure, information technology, transportation,
electronics, high technology, design, business, planning and architecture,
public policy and legal studies.
Scholarships

Eligibility
criteria - 80% marks in class 10th and 12th with 85% in PCM
·
50%
tuition fee waiver on 10% seats in each program in first year for CBSE, ICSE
& State board pass out students
·
The
Scholarship will be renewed in the Second Semester provided the student obtains
SGPA of 8/10.
·
Scholarship
in subsequent years will be as per scholarship policy of the University
Uttarakhand
Domicile Special Scholarships
Eligibility
criteria
·
Minimum
80% marks in each of 10th, 12th class and PCM for B.Tech.
·
Merit
order allotment of 1 seat per program.
·
The
seats reserved under this category will be within the 15% reservation for
Uttarakhand Domicile students.
·
Should
have “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” (Permanent Residence Certificate)
·
Students
will be entitled only for 1 scholarship at a time (either through Uttarakhand
Board Merit or through Uttarakhand Domicile category)
Scholarship
·
25%
of tuition fee for Boys and 35% for Girl students in first year
·
The
Scholarship will be renewed in the Second Semester provided the student obtains
SGPA of 8/10

Scholarship

Programs:
Minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th& 12th) and Minimum
60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level
(12th).
B.Tech+LL.B
(Hons.) Programs:
Minimum 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th& 12th) and
Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior
Secondary level (12th).
Admission
Criteria
Examination Pathway (80% seats) - B. Tech
admissions through UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) 2019-20 followed by
Centralized Counseling.
Age
Criteria
Only candidates whose date of birth falls
on or after October 1, 1997 are eligible to apply for admission. Date of Birth
as recorded in the Secondary Education Board only will be taken as authentic.
Process
for UPESEAT Online Test 2019
THE UPES Engineering Aptitude Test will be
a CBT based test.
Eligibility: Candidates with
minimum 60% marks in class 10th and 12th and 12th PCM can seek admission to
select UPES – B. Tech programs by taking the UPES Engineering Aptitude Test.
How
to Apply:
UPES Online Application Form available on
the website. Candidates can
apply online.
The
following details will help you complete your online application process:

Choose
your status – Indian Resident or Foreign Resident.
·
The
Sign-Up form will appear.
·
Fill
up the details requested in the Sign Up Form, including the program that you
are interested in.
·
Click
on the 'Submit' button.
·
You
will receive an email from UPES on the email ID that you have registered.
·
Click
on the link provided in the email to verify your email ID and activate your
account on the website.
·
Fill
up the application form online and follow the instructions given therein.
·
After
submitting the application form, pay by credit card, debit card, net banking,
or any other form of online payment.
Online
Application Instructions:
·
The
online form submission facility is available only for candidates who wish to
apply and pay online by credit card, debit card or net banking.
·
Submit
your application form only after filling the required details.
·
If
you have a scanned passport size photograph, you can upload it during the
application process.
·
While
applying online, do not use the 'Back' button on the toolbar of your browser.
·
After
completing the submission process, we recommend that you take a print-out of
the completed application form for your reference.
·
On
the successful submission of your online application form, you will get an
online application number. Please retain this form number carefully for future
reference.
