Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Ahmednagar PIMS-All India Common Entrance Test-UG (PIMS-AICET-UG)-2016, which will be conducted in May 2016. The PIMS-AICET-UG will be held on Saturday, May 07, 2016. PIMS-AICET-UG is conducted for taking to admission to 4½ years & 1 year internship Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and 4 years & 1 year internship Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programs in its constituent colleges for the year 2016.
·         Candidate must have passed any of the qualifying examinations as enumerated below:
·         The higher, senior secondary examination or the Indian school certificate examination which is equivalent to (10+2) higher, senior secondary examination which is conducted after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English as a core course. Or
·         The intermediate, pre-degree examination in Science of an Indian university, board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology ,Bio-Technology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and also English as compulsory subject. Or
·         The pre-professional, pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology & English after passing either the higher secondary examination or pre university or an equivalent examination.
Application Procedure for PIMS-AICET-UG 2016:
·         Candidates can apply to university programs using any of the following 3 options:
·         Option 1: Candidates can download the application form.
·         Option 2: The prospectus can be purchased from university admissions office or by writing to the following address on payment of Rs. 500/- (for by post add Rs.200.00 towards postal charges). The DD should be drawn in the name of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni payable at Pune.
·         Option 3: The prospectus is available at selected places in Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, Nashik, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Kochi & Delhi.
Paper Pattern for PIMS-AICET-UG 2016:
·         There will be one question paper of 3 hours duration containing 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs), 50 questions each in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.
·         Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
·         Scratching, overwriting, tick-marking and multiple answers will be considered as wrong answers and no marks will be awarded.
Last date for submission of application form: Friday, April 01, 2016.
Last date for submission of application form with late fee of Rs. 2000/-: Thursday, April 07, 2016.
Dispatch of hall tickets: Tuesday, March 01, 2016 to Saturday, April 09, 2016.

The subject combination required in the qualifying examination (intermediate exam of U.P. Board or 10+2 level exam or its equivalent) for admission to first year of different courses shall be as follows:
First Year of B.Tech, B.Pharm: Candidate must have clearly passed intermediate exam of U.P. Board or 10+2 level exam or its equivalent from any recognized Board, University without grace in required each compulsory subjects; and securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC,ST Category candidates) in aggregate in required three subjects
First Year of BHMCT, BFAD, BFA: Candidate must have clearly passed intermediate exam of U.P Board or 10+2 level exam or its equivalent from any recognized Board,University and securing minimum 45% marks without grace (40% marks for SC,ST category candidates) in aggregate
iii. For Year of B.Arch: A candidate must have clearly passed intermediate exam of U.P. Board or 10+2 level exam or its equivalent from any recognized Board, University and securing (i) minimum 50% marks in aggregate and (ii) clearly passed without grace, each compulsory
Candidate possessing three years Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by Central, State Govt., is also eligible for admission to first year of B.Arch only, provided the candidate has passed the Diploma Exam securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate without grace
All candidates who are eligible for admission in B.Tech Courses are also eligible for B.Tech Agriculture Engineering) and B.Tech (Biotechnology)
First Year MBA: Candidate must have passed bachelor’s degree of minimum 03 years duration from any recognized university of India, passing clearly without grace marks with an aggregate of minimum 50% marks for General  & OBC and 45% for SC, ST category
First Year MCA: Candidate must have passed bachelor’s degree course of minimum three years duration from any recognized university with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or graduate level; the candidate must have clearly passed without grace marks with an aggregate of minimum 50% marks for General & OBC and 45% for SC,ST category

a) State Govt. has permitted 15% of total sanctioned seats available in Private Institutions to be filled by the NRI candidates under Managemenet quota
b) State Govt. has permitted 10% of the total sanctioned seats available in Technology, Architecture courses in private institutions affiliated to AKTU to be filled through combined merit of UP Domicile and Non UP Domicile candidates without reservation subject to eligibility
c) Thus, 10% of the total sanctioned seats in Technology, Architecture courses in Private Institutions, affiliated to AKTU, shall also be opened to the candidates; these seats shall be filled on the basis of UPSEE-2016 Merit
d) State Govt. has also permitted 20% of the total sanctioned seats of MBA in Private Institutions to be filled on the basis of latest CMAT-2016 merit
e) Thus, 65% seats available in MBA & 85% seats in the first year of remaining courses at all Private Institutions will be filled by the UPSEE-2016 qualified

M.Phil, Ph.D in Sanskrit
Eligibility: Master’s degree in Sanskrit or in an allied subject (with Sanskrit up to B.A. level) with at least 55% marks

Centre for the Study of Law and Governance
M.Phil, Ph.D in Law and Governance
Eligibility: Master’s degree in Law, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, Sociology, History, Philosophy and Cognate Areas, Disciplines with 55% marks; or 60% in any branch of natural science.
Admission of JRF Holders to M.Phil, Ph.D and Pre-Ph.D, Ph.D Programme in Science Schools
The university admits a limited number of candidates to M.Phil, Ph.D and Pre-Ph.D, Ph.D programmes on the basis of viva-voce who have qualified a National Test entitling them to a JRF in Schools of Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Computer and Systems Sciences, Computational and Integrative Sciences.
Eligibility: Only those candidates who fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements as prescribed for admission of candidates to M.Phil, Ph.D and Pre-Ph.D programmes through entrance examination under category-A above in above Science Schools and have qualified a National Test entitling them to a JRF are eligible to apply.
Category-C
Part Time Programme
The University will hold entrance examination (in Delhi centre only) for admission to Certificate of Proficiency and Advanced Diploma in Mass Media in Urdu a one-year Part-Time Programmes of Study in the School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies.
Since these are part-time programmes, these are intended for candidates resid­ing in Delhi NCR only.
Admission to Diploma of Proficiency and Advanced Diploma of Proficiency will be made on basis of the past academic record of the candidate which will be assessed in accordance with the criteria laid down by the university for selection.
Programmes of Study: Advanced Diploma in Mass Media in Urdu; Advanced Diploma of Proficiency in Pushto; Diploma of Proficiency in Pushto and Bahasa Indonesia; Certificate of Proficiency in Mongolian, Pushto, Bahasa Indonesia and Urdu.
Certificate of Proficiency: Atleast Senior School Certificate (10+2) or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
Diploma of Proficiency: Atleast Senior School Certificate (10+2) or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 45% marks in aggre­gate and Certificate of Proficiency in the Language concerned or an examination recog­nised as equivalent thereto.
Advanced Diploma of Proficiency: Atleast Senior School Certificate (10+2) or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and Diploma of Proficiency in the language con­cerned or an examination recognised as equivalent thereto.
Advanced Diploma in Mass Media in Urdu: A Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate with Urdu as one of the subjects at High School or Intermediate or B.A. Level.
Foreign Nationals: All foreign nationals present in India are required to appear in the entrance examination subject to their fulfilling minimum eligibility requirements as prescribed for Indian students as indicated under Category-A above.
However, in the event of their selection, they will be considered for admission subject to equivalence of their degrees as per eligibility requirements.
Reservation: 27% seats are reserved for OBC candidates (non creamy layer), 15% and 7.5% of seats are reserved for SC,ST candidates respectively in all programmes of study, 3% seats are reserved for Physically Challenged (Handicapped) candidates (with a minimum of 40% disability)
All SC, ST, Physically Challenged (Handicapped) candidates who have passed and,or are appearing in the qualifying examination are eligible to appear in the entrance examination irrespective of their percentage of marks.
Besides, all candidates who have passed qualifying examination prescribed for admis­sion to the concerned programme of study from the identified backward districts, will be eligible for deprivation points.
All Kashmiri migrants and wards, widows of certain cate­gories of Defence Personnel will be eligible for deprivation points subject to their sub­mitting a documentary evidence of their status
All female candidates are also eligible for deprivation points.
Only those candidates will be eligible for deprivation points as stated above who seek admis­sion through entrance examination.
Candidates can apply either Online or Offiline
Online Application: Candidates can apply online on payment of prescribed fee if any have access to a Computer, a printer and Internet by logging on to JNU website.
The sites have been designed in a 'user friendly' way to help candidates for applying online a systematic fashion. Online application portal will remain open till 05.00 pm (1ST) on 21st March 2016
Offline Application: Set of Application Form and Prospectus can be obtained through Post by sending Crossed Bank Draft for Rs.300,-favour of "Jawaharlal Nehru University", payable at New Delhi along with a self-addressed (unstamped) envelope of minimum size of 30 cms x 25 cms clearly indicating the program of study for which the Application Form is required to the self-addressed envelope to the Section Officer (Admissions), Room No. 28, Administrative Block, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi-110067
Candidates seeking a set of Application Form and Prospectus from Nepal are required to send a Demand Draft of Rs.400,- or equivalent in US Dollars
BPL cardholders will be issued a set of application form and prospectus free of cost on submission of a copy of the valid BPL card issued by the competent authority showing their name in the card
There is a different application form for each category (Category-A and Category-C) (admission through entrance exam) and Category-B (admission of JRF holders)
For admission through Entrance Exam under Category-A and Certificate of Proficiency (Part-time Program) under Category-C, Candidates can opt upto a maximum of three Fields of Study in a single application form for the same level of Programs (COP-Part-Time) or;
BA (Hons) (1st year) or MA, M.Sc, MCA or M.Phil, PhD, Pre-PhD, PhD, M.Tech, PhD, MPH, PhD, and are not required to submit separate application forms for each field of study
In case a candidate submits more than one application form for the same level of programs of study, his,her candidature will be rejected
