Indian Institute of Crafts and Design is an innovative, first of its kind Institute set up by the Government of Rajasthan, to develop human resources for the craft sector. Presently it is being managed by the Ambuja Educational Institute (AEI) under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.
Crafts are moving from the local to the global arena. In such a scenario, human resource development for the craft sector becomes important, more so because of low levels of literacy and education among the artisans. Even though craft production remains inherently skill based, yet the long term success and sustainability of crafts and artisans depends on development of systematic process, requisite competencies for raw material procurement, product development, quality control and marketing. These changes have to be accepted by the artisans also. The craft sector in Indian has sociological and cultural roots. The younger generation of artisans has to believe in the tradition and also adapt to emerging opportunities. A cadre of young professionals dedicated to craft sector can be effective change agents. The Institute has been well accepted by the industry and the apex bodies for handicrafts and handloom development. The proof of this lies in the fact that the successive batches of Undergraduate and Post Graduate Diploma students in Crafts and Design has been placed well. The Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) has empanelled the IICD students as designers for its design projects. The Institute’s projects have been well appreciated and recognized by the client agencies and steadily, the Institute is moving to live up to its mandate.

National Board of Examinations invites application form for NBE FMGE Screening Test for Indian Nationals with Foreign Medical Qualifications June 2014. The NBE FMGE Screening Test is held twice a year at New Delhi.
Introduction: As per the Screening Test Regulations 2002, an Indian citizen possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council on or after shall have to qualify the Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) Examination (Screening Test).
NBE FMGE 2014 Exam Date: Screening Test 16th June & 17th June 2014
a) He / She is a citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India
b) The candidate should possess a primary medical qualification, which is confirmed by the Indian Embassy concerned, to be a recognized qualification for enrolment as medical practitioner in the country in which the institution awarding the said qualification is situated
c) Cut-off date for obtaining the Primary Medical Qualification is on or before 31st May 2014
It is mandatory to provide proof/documentary evidence in support of the candidate having passed final examination for such a primary medical qualification/posses the primary medical qualification on or before the cut-off date
In the event of the date of issue of result/proof of primary medical qualification being after the prescribed cut off date, the application form shall be rejected and candidate declared as ineligible
d) Candidate seeking provisional or permanent registration shall not have to qualify the Screening Test if he/she holds an Under Graduate medical qualification from Australia/Canada/New Zealand/United Kingdom/United States of America and the holder thereof has also been awarded a Post Graduate Medical Qualification in Australia/Canada/New Zealand/ United Kingdom/United States of America and has been recognized for enrolment as medical practitioner in that country.

National School of Drama invites applications on plain paper from THEATRE ARTISTS for vacant posts of Artists Grade A and B in the Repertory Company. They will be appointed on a consolidated salary slab of Rs. 30,000-35,000 and 25,000-30,000 per month respectively, which is subject to upward revision.
The appointment will be on contract basis, initially for one year, which may be extended for 2 years & finally for another 3 years on the basis of periodic assessment.
1.     Graduate of the National School of Drama or of a recognized Theatre Training Institute or 5 years post-training experience in acting & eminence in the field.
2.     Experience of participating in 15 important productions in
Hindi and / or any other Indian Language performing major roles.
3.     Proficiency in Hindi language & speech.

Note: The above qualifications may be relaxed in favour of candidate otherwise found suitable.

3.     Candidates who, after passing the final qualifying examination (BAMS), if undergoing twelve month compulsory rotating internship/practical training and is likely to complete the same on or before July 15th, 2014.
4.     Failure to produce the Registration certificate as above may lead to cancellation of Admission and in such case the candidate will be responsible to pay the Institution all the losses the institution may suffer on account of such cancellation.
5.     Foreign candidates seeking admission from abroad shall submit their applications through the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare or Indian Council for Cultural Relations (I.C.C.R.) Govt. of India, New Delhi. A copy of the application form can also be sent to the Institute.
