Consortium
of Self Financing Professional, Arts and Science Colleges in Tamil Nadu (TNSF) has announced the exam dates for Common Entrance Test (CET-2014), which
will be conducted in August 2014. The common entrance test for MBA/MCA programs
will be held on Saturday, August
09, 2014 and for M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch programs on Sunday, August 10,
2014.
TNSF Consortium-CET is conducted for taking admission
to Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications
(MCA), Master of Engineering (M.E), Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Master of
Architecture (M.Arch) programs offered at various private Engineering, Arts,
Science and Management colleges under the management quota in the state of
Tamil Nadu for the commencing session 2014.
For
MBA Program:
Candidates should have a pass in a recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum 3
years duration and obtained at least 50 % (45% in case of candidates belonging
to reserved category) at the qualifying degree examination.
For
MCA Program:
Candidates should have a pass in a recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum 3
years duration with mathematics at 10 + 2 level or at Graduate level and
obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved
category) in the qualifying degree examination.
For
M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch Programs: Candidates should have a pass in a recognized bachelor’s
degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained at least 50% (45% in
case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree
examination.
Application
Procedure
Candidates should send the completed application form
along with the examination fees in the form of a crossed demand draft for
Rs.450/- (Rs.200/-for Tamil Nadu SC/ SCA/ST candidates) drawn in favour of
“Consortium of Self Financing Professional, Arts and Science Colleges in Tamil
Nadu” payable at Chennai.

Paper Pattern for TNSF Consortium-CET 2014:
The question paper will be of 5 parts.
Candidates are required to answer 100 objective type
questions in 2 hours.
Each question will be followed four probable answers. The
candidate has to choose the correct answer and shade the appropriate box
against the question in the answer sheet with HB pencil.
The question paper will be designed to test the capability
of the candidates in the following areas: quantitative ability, analytical
reasoning, logical reasoning and computer awareness.
There may also be a few questions on verbal activity,
basic sciences etc.

of application forms: Monday, July 14,
2014.
Last
date for submission of filled in application forms: Wednesday, July 16, 2014.
Commencement of
issue of hall tickets: Friday,
July 18, 2014.
