Online applications are invited from Indian
Nationals for All India
Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT)-2016 to be conducted by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) for
filling up 15% of All India Quota Seats in Veterinary Colleges in
India (except from the State of Jammu & Kashmir) for admission to 1st
year of B.V.Sc & A.H. Course for academic session 2016-17. All India Pre Veterinary Test AIPVT
Notification 2016 has been announced.
The Veterinary Council of India shall conduct the
Counselling for 15% of All India Quota seats in the
Veterinary Colleges. The Counselling for admission in seats under the control
of participating States (other than 15% All India Quota) shall be conducted as
per the notifications issued separately by the respective States
The candidates should be Indian Nationals (except from the
State of Jammu & Kashmir)
The Interested candidates should have completed 17 years
of age and the age should not be exceeded than 25 years as on 31st December of
2016
The canddiates belonging to reserve category will get age
relaxation of 5 years i.e. for the SC, ST, OBC the maximum age limit will be 30
years
Candidate must have passed any of the following qualifying
examinations:
The Higher, Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian
School Certificate Exam equivalent to 10+2 Higher, Senior Secondary Examination
after a period of 12-years of study, the last two-years of study with Physics,
Chemistry, Biology and any other elective subject with English at a level not
less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for
Educational Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 (years)
educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education
(or);
The Intermediate Examination in Science from a recognized University,
Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (which shall include a practical test
in these subjects) and English as a core course
a) He, She has passed the qualifying
exam with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as core
course or an examination equivalent to intermediate Science Exam of an Indian
University, Board recognised by the Association of Indian Universities taking
Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in each of these
subjects and English
b) A candidate under General Category
for admission to the B.V.Sc & A.H., degree course must have passed in each
of these subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and obtained 50%
marks in aggregate of these subjects, at the qualifying exam; admission of students
to B.V.Sc & A.H. degree course shall be made only on the basis of his, her
merit in the competitive entrance exam
No other merit, weightage shall be considered for
admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course
c) In respect of candidates
belonging to the SC,ST or other special category of students as specified by
the Govt from time to time, marks required for admission shall be 10% less than
that prescribed for general category
Where the seats reserved for the SC,ST students in any State cannot be filled for want of requisite number of candidates fulfilling the minimum requirement prescribed by the State, and then such vacancies shall be filled up on All India basis with students belonging to the SC,ST getting not less than the minimum prescribed pass percentage

A candidate shall not be allowed admission to B.V.Sc &
A.H. degree course including those admitted under 15% received quota of VCI if
he,she suffer disabilities in physical fitness as Listed below:
a) Disability of total body
including disability of chest, spine more than 50%
b) Disability of lower limb of more than 50%
c) Disability of upper limb
d) Visually handicapped candidates and those with hearing disability,
e) Candidates with progressive diseases like myopathies etc.
f) Disabilities which otherwise would interfere in the performance of duties of a veterinarian

Reservation
of Seats
Reservation of Seats and Admission in Veterinary Colleges:
An All India merit list of the qualified candidates shall be prepared on the
basis of the marks obtained in the AIPVT-2016 and candidates shall be admitted
to seats under 15% All India Quota from the said list only as per the reservation
policy
The AIPVT-2016 Exam shall consist of one paper containing
180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from
Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology)
Question Paper shall be in English and Hindi
Date, Time and Venue of Exam: Saturday, the 14th May 2016 (time 02.00 pm to
05.00 pm) at the centres (cities) given in the Information Bulletin
Candidates can apply only online
Online submission of application may be made by accessing
the website. The duration of submission of application of application form with
requisite fee is given is Schedule, Fee Details
Online Application Form cannot be withdrawn once it is
submitted successfully. The Candidate is NOT required to submit printout of the
Confirmation Page to the VCI
Step 1: Download the Information
Bulletin and read it carefully to ensure your eligibility to appear at the
examination
Step 2: Read the instructions for
applying online given in the Information Bulletin and keep entire information
ready including scanned images of Photograph, Signature, thumb impression and
self-declaration (in the case of candidates belonging to J&K) in JPG format
only
Step 3: Fill the Online Application
Form and upload Scanned Images of Photograph, Signature, thumb impression and
self-declaration (setf-dedaration is required in the case of candidates
belonging to J&K only)
Step 4: Pay Examination Fee by Debit,
Credit card or e-Challan
Step 5: Download the Confirmation
Page and keep the same in safe custody along with proof of remittance of fees
for future reference and records
For General, OBC: Rs.1500/-
For SC, ST, PH: Rs.750/-
Candidates may remit the examination fee in the following
manner: (a) Through any Debit, Credit Card using online payment gateway
facility; (b) Through e-challan by depositing fee in the VCI account in any of
the branches of Vijaya Bank, State Bank of India
Candidate may keep the copy of the e-challan (candidate’s
copy) with him, her as proof, record of remittance of fee in case of payment
through e-challan and transaction slip as proof of payment in case of payment
through Debit, Credit Card
A detailed notification containing the eligibility
criteria, age and last date of submission of Online Application Form,
participating States etc. will be issued in the leading newspapers by 03rd
& 04th Week of December 2015 and in the 02nd & 03rd week of January
2016
