Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Postgraduate programmes in Ayurveda at Amrita Vidyapeetham for the academic year 2014
Amrita School of Ayurveda, a constituent Unit of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham a Deemed University estd u/s 3 of the UGC Act of 1956 conducts Post Graduate courses in Ayurveda (MD/MS Ayurveda) in its Amritapuri campus at Kollam, Kerala
Admissions to these courses are based on a National level entrance test and subsequent counselling conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham
Those candidates interested to be considered for admission to Amrita School of Ayurveda should submit a formal application which is available at website.
MD (Non-Clinical): Ayurveda Samhita, Dravyaguna Vigyana, Rasashastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana, Swasthavritta
MD (Clinical): Kayachikitsa, Panchakarma
MS Ayurveda: Shalya Tantra (Samanya), Shalakya Tantra (Netra Roga Vigyana), Prasuti Tantra & Streeroga
Duration: MD/MS Ayurveda 3 years from the date of commencement of classes
Curriculum: As approved by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (University) and is in line with the directives of the Central Council of Indian System of Medicine.
1.     A candidate who holds BAMS degree from a recognized University approved by CCIM, and has obtained full registration either from Central Council of Indian Medicine or any of the State AYUSH. Council, after completing compulsory rotating internship.
2.     Candidate must secure a rank in the Entrance test conducted by AMRITA VISHWA VIDYAPEETHAM.
3.     Candidates who, after passing the final qualifying examination (BAMS), if undergoing twelve month compulsory rotating internship/practical training and is likely to complete the same on or before July 15th, 2014.
4.     Failure to produce the Registration certificate as above may lead to cancellation of Admission and in such case the candidate will be responsible to pay the Institution all the losses the institution may suffer on account of such cancellation.
5.     Foreign candidates seeking admission from abroad shall submit their applications through the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare or Indian Council for Cultural Relations (I.C.C.R.) Govt. of India, New Delhi. A copy of the application form can also be sent to the Institute.
Selection is based on the rank obtained in the entrance test conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
1.     Register into OARS portal using a valid email - id
2.     Complete the online application form and submit. Enter payment of fee details (DD) , upload soft copy of photo and submit
3.     Print Confirmation Sheet in which Address Slip is attached – Separate the Address slip and paste it on an A5 envelope and mail the Confirmation Sheet along with DD through Registered Post / Speed Post / Courier.
NOTE: The status of your application form and downloading hall ticket will be made available in the OARS portal.
Before applying online, candidates should have--
1.     A valid Email ID (If you do not have an email address we recommend Gmail.)
2.     Scanned copy of recent (taken after 1st January 2014) passport size colour photograph. Photograph should be taken in a white/light coloured background. The image should be in JPEG format and also on a standard 4.5cm x 3.5 cm print. Maximum pixel resolution for JPEG: 640X480 (0.3 Mega pixel). Minimum pixel resolution for JPEG: 320x240.
3.     Demand draft Details that is to be filled in Payment part of OARS portal.
Application Fee is Rs. 2000/-
Demand Draft: Make payment of fee by way of Demand draft taken from any bank in favor of "Amrita School of Ayurveda" payable at Kollam. The Demand draft is to be kept ready before filling the online form. The online application will prompt you to fill in (1) DD No, (2) Bank Name, (3) Branch, (4) Amount and (5) Date.
