of Delhi (DU) jointly announce a 2 year degree programme in M.Sc
Mathematics Education under Meta University
For the first
time in India , University of Delhi and Jamia
Millia Islamia, the two main universities of India
“M.Sc (Mathematics Education)” is the first Meta University
concept based course jointly offered by University of Delhi
The course aims to prepare innovative mathematics
educators, who can bring informed change in mathematics pedagogy. The course is
administratively run by Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC) from University of
Delhi (DU) and AJK Mass Communication Research Centre from Jamia Millia Islamia
(JMI)
Candidates should have a Graduate degree in any discipline
provided the applicant has done at least two full-fledged papers in mathematics
at undergraduate level
The students appearing in final year of undergraduate
degree program (result awaited) can also apply and appear in the entrance test
subject to the condition that they shall fulfill the eligibility criteria
before the commencement of classes

The administrative center for conducting the entire
admission process for the course will be the Cluster Innovation Centre, University of Delhi
The admission to the course will be through an entrance
test (85% weightage) followed by an
interview (15% weightage)
Only those applicants which will be shortlisted on the
basis of entrance test will be called for interview. The number of candidates
called for interview will be four times of the number of seats
There is no need to attach copies of any certificate along
with the application form
Original certificates of academic records, mark-sheets,
certificates for reserved seats must be produced only at the time of the
interview
All admissions are provisional and subject to the approval
of the University
of Delhi
The entrance test will consist of 51 questions each
carrying one mark and will be of one hour duration
The entrance test will contain questions based on
mathematical skills, reasoning, mental ability, general awareness, communication
skills in English language etc
The centers for the entrance test will only be at Delhi
Fee Structure: The per semester fee for the course
will be Rs. 5000/- per
student

Applicants can do online registration for admission in
M.Sc (Mathematics Education) from 01st
April 2015 to 30th April
2015 on DU
