JCECE 2015, Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) 2015

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has announced the exam dates for Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE), which will be conducted in May 2015. JCECE will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2015.
JCECE is conducted for taking to admission to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Agriculture and Forestry and Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) programs for the session 2015.
Residential – Aspirants must be a Permanent/Local resident of Jharkhand as per letter no. 5/vivid-9/2001 (domicile) ka. 2691/Ranchi, dated 29.04.2002 of Personnel, Administrative Reforms & Raj Bhasa, Govt. of Jharkhand AND have procured proper Local Residential Certificate issued by proper authority assigned by Govt. of Jharkhand.
Reservation - Aspirants must be a Permanent/Local resident of Jharkhand AND have procured proper Local Residential Certificate & Caste Certificate issued by proper authority assigned by Govt. of Jharkhand to get the reservation as per RESERVATION POLICY of Govt. of Jharkhand. Up-to-date reservation policy of Govt. of Jharkhand will be followed in all courses of Govt. and Private Institutes situated in Jharkhand State.
B. Tech. Course - Aspirants of any age can apply.
M.B.B.S. Course – Aspirants must completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission.
Agriculture & Forestry Course - Aspirants minimum age should be 17 years and maximum 22 years as on 1st july of the examination year. Age relaxation of three years in maximum age limit for SC/ST candidates.
Animal Husbandry [B.V.Sc. & A.H.] Course - Aspirants minimum age should be 17 years as on 31st December of the examination year.
1.     B.Tech. Course - A candidate has to fulfill the following criteria as per the guidelines of AICTE, Delhi for taking part in this stream: - Applicant must have passed I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject and He/She has obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. [I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination appearing candidate may also apply but he/she will have to pass before the date of Counselling.] .
2.     M.B.B.S. Course - A candidate has to fulfill the following criteria as per the guidelines of MCI, Delhi for taking part in this stream: - Applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to reserve category, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. [I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination appearing candidate may also apply but he/she will have to pass before the date of Counselling.]
3.     Agriculture & Forestry Course - A candidate has to fulfill the following criteria for taking part in this stream: - Applicant must have passed I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subject along with one of the Mathematics/Biology. [I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination appearing candidate may also apply but he/she will have to pass before the date of Counselling.]
4.     Animal Husbandry [B.V.Sc. & A.H.] Course - A candidate has to fulfill the following criteria as per the guidelines of V.C.I. for taking part in this stream: - Applicant must have passed I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subject. [I.Sc. / 10+2 or equivalent examination appearing candidate may also apply but he/she will have to pass before the date of Counselling.]
JCECE 2015 Application Form
To apply for admissions, candidates need to submit JECEC 2015 application form. The forms were issued on 7 April 2015 and candidates may avail it till 27 April 2015. Candidates will also have to pay fee, which can be paid online and offline. Application fee is Rs.550 and Rs.600 for PCM and PCMB, respectively. SC/ST/PwD candidates are required to pay Rs.275 and Rs.325 for PCM and PCMB, respectively. Modes of payment include online and offline.
·         Online mode: Debit/credit card or net banking
·         Offline mode: e-challan
There are several steps of filling the application form, which are discussed in brief here. Candidates have to follow all the steps so that they don’t miss any step and get their form rejected.
Enter all of your details as asked correctly and completely. You shall be given an application form number, password thru e-mail. Save these details for future login.
2 – Filling the application form
Login your account using application number, password sent via email. Enter personal details, communication details, and educational details.
·         Photograph
A scanned copy of recent passport size color photograph with a light background in JPG format with a file size of not more than 500 KB. Photograph dimensions – 3.5 x 4.5 cm.
·         Signature
Scan signature in black in on a white paper in JPEG format with a file size of not more than 500 KB. Signature dimensions – 3.5 x 1.5 cm.
·         Left Thumb Impression
Scan image of left thumb impression in black in on a white paper in JPEG format with a file size of not more than 500 KB. Thumb Impression dimensions – 3.5 x 1.5 cm.
4 – Payment of JCECE 2015 Application Fees
·         Online Payment
Pay the fees via Debit/Credit Cards OR Net Banking. You can choose the mode while paying the fees. You can submit the application form after payment of fees.
·         Through Challan
You can download and print the e-challan of Bank of India. Payment can be made at any branch of the bank. Fees have to be deposited in the account no. 499820110000015 on behalf of JECEB at Ranchi. Once done with payment, collect the receipt of payment. Update these payment details on the application form. You shall be given 24 hours to do the update in the application form. So it is suggested that you access the application form the same day as the payment of fees is done at the branch.
5 – Provisional Registration Slip
Those who have submitted the application can take printout of the Provisional Registration Slip. Further, keep it safe for counselling and admission process. You may be asked to show it as and when required so keep it intact.
Result of the exam will be issued by the board in the mid-week of June 2015. The result shall be published in the form of a merit list. List would be formed on the basis of marks obtained in the exam. Candidates can see the result online on the  website of JCECE 2015 by entering their roll number, and application number. On entering the details correctly, result would be shown on the screen.
Candidates have to generate its printout and keep it safe for the future purpose. In the list, only those candidates’ names would be included who successfully cross the cutoff limit and score marks more than the cutoff decided. They will be given the chance to mark options of colleges and courses.
Once the result is declared and merit list is formed, candidates would be given the chance to exercise options of colleges. This process is called counselling. Seats would be allotted on the basis of merit list. Tentative date of start of counselling is in the month of May 2015. There shall be multiple rounds of counselling which depends upon the number of candidates and vacancies. There shall be a variety of factors upon which allotment would be made. Some of them are – number of vacancies, number of seats, number of candidates per seat, reservation norms, previous year admission trends, allotments, withdrawals and confirmations.
