Army Institute of Law, Mohali, Punjab has invited applications for Entrance Test conducted & coordinated by The Punjabi University, Patiala for admission to Integrated BA LLB and LLM courses of Academic Year 2015-16

Admission to B.A., LL.B. 5 Years Integrated Degree Courses will be made on the basis of the merit of Entrance Test to be conducted on all India Basis at 11 test centres

A candidate seeking admission to this course is required to send his/her application for the Entrance Test in the prescribed form

Courses offered in AIL Entrance Test 2015

B.A., LL.B (Five Years Integrated Course): By the time a student completes the five year integrated programme he/she will be fully equipped with the knowledge and experience in the field of law required to become a full-fledged responsible member of the legal profession

LL.B (One Year Course): The LL.M course has been adopted with the objective of imparting in depth knowledge in the field of law with specializations

The program is designed to put students on strong footing to undertake jobs in teaching and other sectors at the National and International level

Students are awarded the Degree after successful completion of the one year program

Eligibility:

Eligibility Criteria for AIL Entrance Test 2015

B.A. LL.B Course: A candidate who has passed 10+2 examination from Punjab School Education Board or any other equivalent examination recognized as such by the Punjabi University, Patiala, securing at least 45% marks vide Punjabi University Letter No.216468/Meeting-4 dated 7 May 2004. He/She should not have completed the age of 20 years on 1 July, 2014

The applicant who have obtained 10+2 through open university systems directly, without having any basic qualifications for pursuing such studies, are not eligible for admission in Law Courses

a) The applicants appearing for the qualifying exam in March/April 2015 are allowed to take the Entrance Test - 2015 provisionally, subject to the condition on that their candidature shall stand cancelled in case they do not pass the 10+2 March/April Exams 2015 with the required percentage of marks

b) Candidates passing the compartment papers of qualifying exam 10+2 subsequently shall not be eligible for admission even if a seat is available

LLM Course: A Candidate who has passed LLB (3 Yrs/5 Yrs Course) recognized as such by the Punjabi University, Patiala securing at least 55% marks

Seats for AIL Entrance Test 2015

B.A., LL.B (Five Years Integrated Course): Total - 80 Seats (Wards of Army Personnel - 60, Punjab Residents Civil Category - 16, All India Civil Category - 04)
LLM (One Years Course): Total - 15 Seats (Wards of Army Personnel - 12, Punjab Residents Civil Category - 02, All India Civil Category - 01)

Admission Process for AIL Entrance Test 2015

B.A. LL.B Course: As per the Govt. of Punjab notification vide letter No. 13/10/2010-6 Edu.1 /420703/7 dated 23/2/2015, the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar will coordinate the admission to BA LLB (5 Year Course) with Army Institute Law, Mohali

Admission to 64 seats (60 seats for Wards of Army Personnel and 04 Seats of All India General Category) will be filled through a Written Entrance Test followed by counseling at AIL, Mohali on the basis of 10+2 merit as per Punjab Govt. Notification

LLM Course: The admission process shall start after the declaration of the result of the final year by the Punjabi University. The admission shall be notified by the Institute

The selection of the students shall be on the merit of the qualifying examination (BA, LLB/LL.B); for which applications will be invited from the interested candidates; the Institute shall conduct the admission through a counseling process, which wil be notified

How to Apply:

Process of Applying to LET - 2015

To apply AIL Entrance Test candidates are required to choose either offline or online

The Online Application-cum-Admission Form comprises of two steps:

Step - I

Go to AIL Website Click on the link Admission 2015-16, Now, Online Registration Step-I will appear

Fill the basic information of the candidate (i.e. Category, Name of the Candidate, Date of Birth, Password, Father's Name, Email ID and Mobile No etc)

The Registration No and Password will be automatically forwarded to the email ID provided by candidate; the same is required before filling online form Step-II

After submitting the above-mentioned information, a Bank Pay-in-Slip will be generated; the unique AIL Registration No will also be mentioned on the Bank Pay - in - Slip

Now go to any branch of Axis Bank and deposit fees of Rs. 1250/- to the AIL account which is mentioned on the Bank Pay-in-Slip

After depositing your fee at the bank please check that journal number and branch code are clearly written on the bank slip

Online form step -II cannot be completed without journal number and branch code

Before applying online, Scanned copy of the Passport Size Photograph (Size Maximum 120KB), Signature (Size Maximum 100KB), 10th DMC & Bank Receipt should be ready for filling the Online Form
* Kindly submit the Online Application cum Admission form along with fees of Rs.1250/- which includes fees for processing and conduct of LET-2015

The Students must bring all original documents at the time of their counseling and after admission must deposit full fees on the same day, failing of which the claim on seat shall stand forfeited and the seat shall be allotted to the next candidate in merit. All the original certificates will be retained by the Institute. No Part payment will be accepted

Only for wards of Army Personnel and all India Civil Category candidates

Admission of 16 Seats of Punjab Resident Civil Category will be filled by Army Institute of Law, Mohali on the Basis of 10+2 merit as per Punjab Govt. Notification -vide letter No. 13/10/2010-6Edu.1/420703/7 dated 23 Feb 2015

The Conducting HQ reserves the right of not holding examination at a centre where the strength of examinees opting for the centre is less than 15
