Entrance Test - PPMET 2015 for seeking admission to B.Sc Nursing Course in the various
Nursing colleges in Punjab affiliated to Baba
Farid University of Health Sciences for the academic session 2015-16
a.
The Higher Secondary Exam or the Indian School Certificate Exam which
is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of
Physics, Chemistry & Biology after
the introduction of the 10+2+3 years education structure as recommended by the
National Committee on Education; (or)
b.
The intermediate exam in Science of an Indian University, Board or
other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which shall include a
practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject; (or)
c.
The Pre-professional, pre-medical exam with Physics, Chemistry and
Biology, after passing either the higher
secondary school examination or the pre-university or an equivalent exam; the
pre-professional, premedical examination shall include a practical test in
Physics, Chemistry and Biology and
English as compulsory subject; (or)
d.
The first year of the three year degree course of a recognized
university with Physics, Chemistry and
Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the exam is a
University Examination and candidate has passed 10+2 with English at a level
not less than a core course; (or)
e.
B.Sc exam of an Indian University, provided that he, she has passed the B.Sc exam
with not less than two of the following subjects-Physics, Chemistry and Biology
(Botany, Zoology) and further that he, she has passed the earlier qualifying
exam with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English; (or)
f.
Any other exam which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent
to the intermediate Science exam of an Indian University, Board, taking Physics,
Chemistry and Biology including a
practical test in each of these subjects and English
Candidate must have completed the age of 17 years, on or
before 31st December 2015 of the corresponding year
Candidates should have studied during his, her 10+1 and
10+2 examination or other qualifying examination in place of 10+2, as listed in
4 (A) (i) (a) to (f) above, as candidate
from a recognized institution situated in the State of Punjab only except for
the exemptions wherever applicable
a.
For
Govt., University College: The reservation in the State quota
seats in Govt. Institutions in various categories for admission to the
under Graduate Para Medical Courses will be as under:
(i) SC - 25%; (ii) BC (Note: The
backward class certificate must be as per the latest instructions of the Govt.
of Punjab): 05%; (iii) Backward Area,
Border Area (1% each): 02%; (iv) PH
(Orthopaedically Handicapped (disability 50% to 70% ) to be determined at the
time of counseling by a duly constituted board of the specialty of
Orthopaedics): 03%; (v) Sports
Persons (Credit will be given for the sports achievements made during 10+1, 10+2
classes only): 01% (vi) Wards of
terrorist, riot affected persons (in order of preference to the exclusion of
next category): 01%
b.
Private
Colleges: The institutions who are allowed
to admit only girls will obey the Govt orders; the reservation in
private institutes (in Govt, Mgmt quota seats) will be as under:
(i) SC - 25%; (ii) BC (Note: The
backward class certificate must be as per the latest instructions of the Govt.
of Punjab): 05%; (iii) Backward Area,
Border Area (1% each): 02%; (iv) PH

15% seats in all private Institutes and specified number
of seats in Govt., University Institutes shall be earmarked for the Foreign
Indian Students (NRI); the Foreign Indian Student (NRI) quota in private

Rs.4500, - for General Category (Rs. 2250, - for SC categories
only) be deposited in any branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce throughout
India by using Bank challan form which is generated after applying online
through University website due date and time
